Floating Vase
Process: This ikebana vase was created using digital fabrication. A 3D model was designed to generate the patterns needed to route the vase. Constructed of birch plywood, each 3/4″ ‘loop’ was routed on both sides (to accomplish the curvature) using a jig. The ‘loops’ are held together using only dowels and finished with white laminate on each face.
